Most of our beauty, skin products contain mint leaves in them. Mint leaves are full of essential nutrients that benefit our skin and health. Its healing property is of great use, being used in the treatment of acne, suntan and many more. Because of its antibacterial properties, it is widely used as a cleanser, moisturizer, and toner. The presence of components like flavonoids, phenols and carotenoids adds antioxidant properties to it.


Brightens complexion – For dull skin, you can apply mint leaf extract to brighten it. It prevents suntanning. The antiseptic property helps in preventing spots and rashes in the skin, despite environmental pollutants exposure. 

Remove blackheads – Mint-based face packs are best for removing blackheads from the skin. Mint rich in menthol and an array of antioxidants penetrates deep into the skin, thus removing blackheads.

Diminishes dark circles - Apply mint leaf paste over the dark circles and let it stay overnight. This lightens the skin tone under the eyes and rejuvenates it by preventing free radical damage to the cells.

Treats acne – Salicylic acid and vitamin A present in mint leaves control the sebum secretion thereby preventing acne. By applying mint leaves paste on acne, you can eliminate acne scars.

Soothes dry skin – To get relief from dry skin irritation, make a fine paste of mint leaves, mix it with rose water and apply it on the skin. This paste fixes your dry, itchy skin instantly.
