MindFi bags $2 million in seed funds

Singapore-based mental health and corporate wellness programme MindFi has raised $2 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round.

Singapore-based mental health and corporate wellness programme MindFi has raised $2 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round. Participation was seen from existing investor M Venture Partners and Global Founders Capital fund. Angel investors Marcus Tan of Carousell, Kenji Narushima of Carro and Derrick Ko of Spin too participated.

MindFi (short for Mind Fitness) was part of Y Combinator’s summer 2021 cohort. It was started by Anita Sadasivan, Bjorn Lee, Gangeshwar Krishnamurthy and Leon CK Leong in 2017. Their clientele includes Fortune 500 companies, fast-growing startups, and corporations in the APAC region. Some big brands using MindFi’s services are Visa, Willis Towers Watson and Patsnap.

MindFi enables people to achieve peak mental performance. The venture offers self-directed mental wellness programmes, community forums and group therapy. Its AI system matches the user to coaches and therapists. The MindFi app also takes note of the data collected by users’ fitness wearables.

They had raised a pre-Seed round in 2018 worth $200,000 and later another pre-Seed round in 2021 worth SGD 1 million led by iGlobe Partners. They currently operate in the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Mental health has traditionally been overlooked in Asia but MindFi is deciding to change that.
