Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have been in quarantine since announcing they both tested positive for the virus on Thursday.

The much-adored Hollywood on-screen character affirmed on Thursday that he and Wilson, both 63, had tried positive for the infection.

In a post on Instagram, Hanks stated: "Hi people. @ritawilson and I need to thank everybody here Down Under who are taking such acceptable consideration of us.

"We have COVID-19 and are in disengagement so we don't spread it to any other individual.

"There are those for whom it could prompt an intense sickness. We are taking it each day in turn.

"There are things we would all be able to do to overcome this by following the guidance of specialists and dealing with ourselves and one another, no?"

The post indicated the couple grinning, with Hanks putting his arm around Wilson.

They have been segregated at the Gold Coast University Hospital in Australia, where Hanks was taking a shot at an up and coming Elvis Presley biopic.

The shooting was closed down after the pair were analyzed

Hanks made the declaration on Twitter, expressing: "We felt somewhat worn out, similar to we had colds, and somebody hurts.

"Rita had a few chills that traveled every which way. Slight fevers as well. To play things right, as is required on the planet at present, we were tried for the coronavirus, and were seen as positive."

Baz Luhrmann, who is coordinating the forthcoming Elvis film, was said to have broken the news himself to individuals taking a shot at the creation.
