Italians need a justifiable reason to be out on the street in the middle of a pandemic that has officially claimed more than 20,000 lives in the Mediterranean country since February

An Italian lady who took her pizza-sized turtle out for a walk has been fined 400 euros ($440) by the Roman police for disrupting exacting coronavirus imprisonment guidelines.

Italians need a legitimate motivation to be out in the city in a pandemic that has formally guaranteed more than 20,000 lives in the Mediterranean nation since February.

Taking your canine out for a walk is seen as sufficient motivation to leave your home.

In any case, it appears to be taking your turtle out for one isn't.

The Roman police said, "the 60-year-elderly person was gotten outside her home without a legitimate explanation" and fined.

"The lady was strolling with a turtle," the police explanation said.

Roman police representative Nunzio Carbone revealed to AFP that the lady was fined 400 euros since it was "not a reasonable reason".

Italian specialists announced giving a record 16,545 fines on Easter Monday - a national occasion in the generally Catholic nation.

Another 13,756 fines were an issue on Sunday.

Italians have been kidding via web-based networking media about leasing their canines to any individual who was going mix insane and required a decent reason to go out.

Carbone said the turtle was "as large as a pizza" yet not wearing a rope.
