India’s vernacular platform for sleep management, Neend, has gained $700K in its pre-seed round led by Better Capital. The other participants of the round were Rohit Bansal and Kunal Bahl of Snapdeal, Kunal Shah of Cred, Nandan of Swiggy, Niraj Singh of Spinny, Sandeep Singhal of Nexus, Lalit Keshre and Harsh Jain of Groww and others.

Neend was founded by IIT Bombay’s Surbhi Jain. The venture helps individuals by offering immersive setups to experience a better quality of sleep. With rising stress levels many individuals are facing the problem or troubled sleep and insomnia. With 1 in 3 individuals facing troubled sleep, it is affecting them by reducing their productivity and focus. With such an app, they can get sound sleep that will help improve their mental and physical fitness.  

With the funds, the venture will expand upon its linguistic options. They also plan to expand its offering by adding guided meditation, Yoga Nidra and more. They also plan to develop sleep therapies and offer solutions to deal with chronic insomnia and stress levels. Neend’s YouTube channel has seen over 6.5 million views. Their subscriber base on the platform is over 75000. And so far their app has seen more than 50,000 downloads.
