Faithful to LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital's proposition and brand promise of healing with compassion, doctors decided to support the Lebanese community and launched the Act of Compassion initiative

The Act of Compassion initiative started when a group of physicians at LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital decided to give back to their community amid the difficult times the country was going through and that is by allocating a share of their remuneration fees to fund medication and medical supplies to support the elderly.

The Act of Compassion initiative consists of several activations carefully thought of to provide different health care solutions and assistance to support various clusters of the Lebanese community. It includes free consultation, tests, vaccinations and other supplies to people in need, an outpatient primary care consult, a provision of medical supplies to the needy and finally, a mobile clinic to be launched in the near future and that is meant to visit rural areas in Lebanon to provide the necessary medical care.

The Act of Compassion initiative is truly the result of the effort of several members of the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital:

Last and certainly not least, the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital launched the outpatient primary care consult on Saturday the 1st of February, offering Lebanese citizens who don’t have a national social security coverage or medical insurance policy a generic checkup every Saturday from 8am to 12pm at a symbolic fee.

This Act of Compassion initiative that was first ignited by a group of LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital physicians quickly grew to include more members of the hospital. Indeed, the future activations will be carried out by physicians, staff and faculty members of both LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital and the School of Medicine with the objective to ease the tough burden of the economic situation on the Lebanese people.

Through the Act of Compassion initiative, LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital reinforces its mission of healing with compassion and sends a strong message of solidarity, support and love to a society who is in dire need of help.
