Mental health startup Intellect gets $10 million

Singapore-based mental health startup Intellect has raised $10 million in its Series A funding round led by HOF Capital.

Singapore-based mental health startup Intellect has raised $10 million in its Series A funding round led by HOF Capital. Other investors in this round are Headline, East Ventures, MS&AD Ventures, DG Daiwa Ventures and Pioneer Fund. Existing investor Insignia Ventures Partners also invested.

Intellect is an end-to-end unified mental healthcare platform for employers founded by Anurag Chutani and Theodoric Chew. It offers clinical-based digital therapy, and telehealth services. Through its app one can have a self-guided cognitive behaviour therapy. 

Since its inception in 2020, they were able to serve over 3 million users across 20 countries. With these funds they plan to scale their presence in Asia. They have very recently bagged big clients like foodpanda, Singtel and Schroders. 

The venture has raised a total of $13 million. They had received seed funds worth $800,000 from Insignia Ventures Partners and had received $2.2 million in August 2021 from Insignia Ventures Partners, XA Network and Y Combinator.

A surgery by Willis Towers Watson in 2020 reported that as many as two in five of over 700 employers in APAC plan to enhance their mental health services. Intellect will try to satisfy this growing demand for mental health services in Asia
