As we know that the whole world is encountering an inconvenient time on account of CoronaVirus disease 2019 erupt and since our whole country is under lockdown since March 2020, the weight of downturn is more on the businessmen than the weight of Coronavirus. It is said that colossal quantities of the Indian associations are fighting with amaze weakness about their future. According to Du & Bradstreet, the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted human lives & the global supply chain so severely that the bridges to recover the Indian economy, which was visible, near the end of 2019 & early 2020, now have been burned. So read on to appreciate the slip-ups, perceive the odds, and as a rule right your course so the business heads the right way.
“Ketto stands for Key for tomorrow. It is catchy, unique & has a strong meaning,” says Varun. It was started in 2012 as awareness and for funding for people who are going through the treatment of cancer, surgery, etc. When it was started, it was difficult to garner people’s trust in online transactions. But now, after 8 years a change can be seen in people’s use of online transactions as nowadays everything is online like clothes, groceries, education, etc. So this is a great platform for people to come ahead & donate for such a cause which is for the greater good of humanity. Ketto also focussed on building the right pillars by keeping every donor informed.
This COVID19 pandemic is a very unfortunate event which is happening. It is a once in 100 yrs kind of event. Ketto is currently working 24*7 to serve their customers and patients with raising funds for their treatment. “A lot of people are coming to our platform to raise funds, and a lot more are coming forward to donate helping us to raise funds for the people who require it,” says Varun.
Varun was finding it difficult to work from home initially. “Personally it was very challenging for me; it is difficult to be at home for so long. We are just 100 people at Ketto. So it took a week for everyone to get into the groove,” he says. But with time, it is better to manage their resources & schedule work and meetings from home. His advice is to deal positively with the current situation and things will get better.
Since an entrepreneur's journey is always considered as a roller coaster ride, he advises each one to take one day at a time. “We are in an extraordinary situation. We don’t know what would happen in the next quarter. There is so much negative news around, so just be mentally positive and do not lose hope and we will see the light at the end of the tunnel and come out stronger,” he says.
Having Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor as a co-founder has contributed immensely to Ketto. Indians have a trust factor in Bollywood because of which a lot of people use and promote our platform. “So it is a strong & unique partnership,” he says.
Ketto works largely in the healthcare sector with a tie-up count with over 150 private hospitals, it focuses on raising awareness about crowdfunding and funds both. But they have not seen much demand for funding to help COVID patients as they are going to government hospitals. Yet, if there are patients who would want our help they can write to us over a mail or connect through the Ketto app and our team will get in touch to lend help to patients.
Ketto has a very transparent process, says Mr. Sheth. The patient needs to just sign up and create a fundraiser page. Mention which hospital & what is the diagnosis and upload all the documents. This is then assessed by Ketto’s team & fundraisers can raise funds from all over the world and help the patient. Ketto also provides the contacts of the donors in case anyone would like to go back and thank them. “If anyone needs funds for any patients so please sign up on www.ketto.org and our team will surely help them,” he says.
