Baby in USA is born using a deceased donor's uterus

And he is the second one to be born in USA.

If you believe in miracle, here’s one unbelievable. A gift of modern science and pathbreaking medical technology and procedure, a woman in USA gave birth to a baby boy she carried inside a transplanted womb.

Describing it as nothing short of a miracle, the woman, Jennifer Gobrecht and her husband Drew Gobrecht, were simply ecstatic when the doctors declared that the delivery was successful. The baby boy was born as a part of a two-year-old uterine transplant trial at a Philadelphia Medical Center.

This is only the second time in USA that a baby is born using a transplanted uterus from a deceased donor. The 33-year-old mother, Jennifer was born without a uterus. She underwent a 10-hour transplant operation in 2018. There have been 70 uterus transplants around the world, but most have focussed on living donors.
