Himalayan crystal salt contains certain essential minerals like potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Read on to know some more surprising benefits of it.

Our body needs salt to maintain fluid balance. Salt is made up of sodium and chloride. As per the guidelines, the intake of salt should be less than 5 gm per day for an adult. Increased consumption of junk or processed foods, increases the sodium levels in our body. Nowadays, because of excess bleaching and refining, salt is losing all its nutritional value. So, people have started adopting other alternatives for salt like pink Himalayan salt, rock salt. The Himalayan crystal salt contains certain minerals like potassium, calcium and magnesium. It is believed to contain as many as 84 trace minerals. It is the purest of all salt, thus is consumed widely during fasting.

Sole water - Take a jug and fill 1/4th of it with Himalayan salt. Then add water to top it up completely. Seal the jug with a lid and let it sit overnight. By morning, the salt will dissolve in the water and if there is a trace of salt left at the bottom of the jar, it indicates that the water has completely absorbed all the salt and is fully saturated.
